OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE A PORTAL WHERE PEOPLE CAN QUICKLY AND WITH AS LITTLE FUSS AS POSSIBLE GET RID OF UNWANTED ITEMS WHILE AT THE SAME TIME MAKING A LITTLE CASH AND BEING KIND TO THE ENVIRONMENT.

It was early 2010 and I was in the process of moving out of my flat. I thought packing everything up was going to be easy as I have never been a collector of 'stuff' and had only been living there a couple of years. Two days later though with boxes all over the place stuffed to the brim and with more packing left to be done I realised that sacrifices were going to have to be made. It started off pretty well, binning clothes that no decent person would ever wear in public and the pots and pans that were a trip to A&E waiting to happen but at the end I was left with a dilemma. Did I really need the Nintendo Wee that I had only used once since it was given to me or the three copies of Miracle on 34th Street DVD that I seemed to receive every Christmas? But I could not bring myself to throw it all away and a lot of it was electronics that I knew was not meant to be put in the bin anyway. So what could I do? Car Boot Sale? Getting up at 6am to go and freeze in a field while strangers grab at my stuff and haggle for 10p - no thanks! Ebay? Spend hours taking photos of all my stuff and listing each item with a product description, then spend a week answering questions that were already answered in the product description and then after all that having to chase half of the buyers who end up never paying.. - no thanks, I was busy enough with the move already and the value was not worth the headache. So that's when I had the idea to start Bogo.co.uk, a site where people can clear their own dilemma box quickly and easily while at the same time making a little cash and being eco-friendly.
