This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use bogo.co.uk, why we collect it and what your rights are.
Who we are
BOGO is a trading name of Nitrotek Ltd (company number 05070618), 4th Floor Goyt Mill, Upper Hibbert Lane, Marple, SK6 7HX. Nitrotek Ltd is the data controller for the information described here and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZA858198. What we collect
- Order details: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and what you bought.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal or Klarna, depending on how you choose to pay. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.
- Deal alerts: your email address, if you ask us to tell you about the next deal.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, recorded in our server logs.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To fulfil your order and deal with returns and warranty claims. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting. This is a legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. This is in our legitimate interests.
- To answer your questions. This is in our legitimate interests, or necessary for our contract with you.
- To email you about new deals, only if you have asked us to. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the shop, and only as far as they need it:
- our payment providers Stripe, PayPal and Klarna, to take your payment. If you pay with Klarna, Klarna may run its own checks and has its own privacy policy.
- couriers, to deliver your order and contact you about delivery
- our website hosting and email providers
- Google, which provides our website analytics and measures our advertising
- our accountants, and HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
- Order records: 6 years after the end of the tax year of your order, as the law requires.
- Messages: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they relate to an order.
- Deal alert emails: until you ask us to stop.
Cookies
We use the cookies needed to make the shop work, such as remembering what is in your basket and keeping you logged in.
We also use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to measure visits to the site and how well our advertising works. These are switched on when you arrive. You can switch them off at any time by choosing Reject on the cookie notice, or by changing your cookie choice here. Your choice is remembered on the device you are using.
When you place an order, we also send Google Ads a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, phone number and billing address. Google uses it only to work out whether the order came from one of our ads. It is not sent if you have turned measurement cookies off.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, where we have no legal reason to keep it
- ask us to restrict or stop certain uses of your information
- ask for your information in a portable format
- withdraw consent to marketing at any time

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
